The Tiziano Project provides locals with their own cameras and teaches photography and journalism. We also teach freelance photography and how to shoot portraits as well as weddings. One camera from here is a career over there.
A good laptop can be used to process photos, send e-mails, and edit audio and video, all of which are indispensable for our students. By donating a laptop you not only create a self-sustaining career abroad, you also help bridge the digital divide by enabling technological literacy in parts of the world where our students would otherwise never have that chance.
We provide SLR cameras to our top students who we believe have the potential to work for a major news agency. Our philosophy is to provide our students with the best equipment possible to better enable them to compete and fulfill their dreams.
The Tiziano Project has compiled a kit that enables our students to record broadcast quality audio and contribute to Western news agencies. We ask for financial contributions to allow us to continue to expand our radio teaching capability.
A good lens can vastly improve a picture. If a picture is good enough the chances that a news agency will run a story from our students greatly improves. We kindly ask for the donation of old lenses that may not be used very much anymore but that are indispensable to giving our students every chance to compete.
We train our students in video and documentary production. The benefit of the digital age is that with a camera and a computer anyone can make a movie and chronicle their lives. Imagine Youtube trained locals wherever the next catastrophe strikes or war breaks out.
If you have any of the equipment mentioned above that you would like to see put in the hands of our students please email: donations@tizianoproject.org
We sincerely thank you for your contributions and are excited to enthusiastically put your generosity to good work.
